SMEs that want to branch out into international trade are to be given a helping hand from a government press facility. Entitled New Products from Britain (NPfB), the provider is designed to create press releases that are based on actual news rather than simply advertising.
A translation service is also on hand for firms that wish to circulate publicity to non-English speaking countries.
The Central Office of Information (COI) operates the product for UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
Simon Holder, head of Commercial Publicity at COI, commented: "As well as producing orders, an NPfB press release can stimulate interest from overseas agents and distributors."
The tool also circulates an abridged version of each release to up to 70 UK diplomatic posts. It costs £200.
It has also recently been announced that the UKTI will be supporting a one day learning event by the British Learning Association on international opportunities for learning and development.
