Ethernets
The Ethernet is a reality!
Ethernets are the most widely used form of LAN (Local Area Network) that links PCs together. Businesses rely on their LANs to keep them constantly connected to their increasing number of complex computer applications within their organization.
As network traffic increases so does the need for a higher speed network. This is where the Ethernet comes into its own. An Ethernet sends communication through radio frequency signals carried by co-axial cables or twisted pair cables and it also enables PCs to connect to the Internet.
An Ethernet can pass up to 10 megabytes of information per second using 10 BASE-T systems and the newer 100BASE-TX systems enable the transfer of 100 megabytes per second.
